When you do not feel like cooking and you want to eat something amazing? I recommend the Mangi Store! Mangi Store is a combination of a deli and a take away, kinda like FoodWare. Only Mangi sells nothing but Italian food. They have different kinds of raviolis, lasagnes and/or tagliatelle that you can choose from. And you pick your favourite sauce to go with the fresh homemade pasta (by the Pastafabriek).
GO HOME, PREPARE THE PASTA & THE SAUCE: MANGIARE!
This deli slash take-away lies in the city centre of Amsterdam, on the Reguliersdwarsstraat. It is a part of the restaurant group of the Italian D’Antuono family from Naples. Other restaurants they own are D’Antica (next to the Mangi Store) and Cinema Paradiso on the Westerstraat in the Jordaan area. Next to this, they also run a pasta factory, which makes sure all of these companies are provided with delicious pasta.
Carmine D’Antuono runs the Mangi Store passionately like those Italians are for their food. His favourite combination of pasta and sauce is the ravioli with truffle and a butter/sage sauce. I tried this combination at home & it is heavenly! You pay approx. €10,- for one portion, depending on which pasta & sauce you choose. It’s not cheap.. But hey:
RESTAURANT QUALITY AT HOME & WITHIN MINUTES
Mangi is a great food concept with a beautiful plain logo. When you enter the store or visit their website, you notice their beautiful food photography (see above). It is stunning & shows their passion for food! They even have their own “La Gazetta di Mangi”, how great is that?
See you soon, Carmine & Maxime!
