BEDFORD STUYVESANT
A new lunch spot in the East of Amsterdam is BEDFORD STUYVESANT! During my e-bike tour for Yamaha/MBK-fietsen (more on that soon: Check Facebook for photos) I went from HANDSOME JACK’S to VONDELPARK/3 to DR. BLEND and lunch at BEDFORD STUYVESANT.
I don’t visit this multicultural part of town much, I honestly say, though I should! There are so many great places to have coffee, lunch or dinner – just like this one! The interior is unique, nicely set up with a large table in the back and some sofa’s for that loungy feeling. Though the day I visited the sun was shining so I took place on their small but cosy terrace (find other terraces).
My lunch consisted of toasted Turkish bread as a sandwich with spinach, avocado, Old Amsterdam cheese and pesto made from nuts. It was new, tasty and delicious! They also offer smoothies and Belvoir juices like the cranberry raspberry I got. Next to this, they serve ecological and fair trade coffee of the Brooklyn Roasting Company to get your day started.
