Enjoy long summer evenings alongside the IJ river on the large terrace of RESTAURANT STORK. Being at the waterside, the sun on your skin and the marvelous seafood that they serve you, will have you thinking you are at the beach while you are actually about 10 minutes away from Amsterdam’s city centre.
STORK is a seafood restaurant in Amsterdam Noord, on a business park that is a cultural spot with creativity, art/design and food – a combination I personally love! DE KROMHOUTHAL (a big hall next door) hosted the AFFORDABLE ART FAIR last year and celebrated IKEA‘s 35th birthday. Tonight you can watch the World Cup game against Argentina here!
STORK‘s fish is fresher than fresh: Owners Erik and Hannah receive (almost all) their MSC certified fish straight from the fishermen and you definitely taste the freshness. My recommendation to you is – if you like them – to begin with some big, tasty and salty Gillardeau oysters! We certainly loved them because I had to fight for a few oysters because I was talking to Erik (the chef of the two) about the fish he had right now. The five of us ordered the sole, one of my favorite fishes (see photo), accompanied by some FRIETHOES fries with a bit of seasoning and mayonnaise.
When I posted the photo above on Instagram, a frequent follower told me he went to have lunch at STORK. So nice to hear! So let me know when you are having lunch or dinner at a STORY154 recommendation. Would love to hear it and ofcourse if you enjoyed it!
