Café de Biertuin is one of the nine success stories in East and in the city centre created by three entrepreneurs Riad Farhat, Jason Berg and Brian Fernandes who also run Maxwell Cafe, Smoking’ Barrels, Bar Bukowksi and Waterkant.
Cafe de Biertuin – translated the beer garden – is a popular hotspot amongst locals because of the selection of brewed beers, the relaxed atmosphere, a great terrace and their best dish: chicken from the grill. It is a great hangout to meet with friends and stay for a spontaneous dinner.

Then you should definitely order their signature dish: the grilled chicken! It is as delicious as it looks: moist and well salted in a good marinade with lots of garlic, a crisp skin and soft meat. Or you can try the slow cooked and pulled apart pork on a bun. A very tasty fellow served with a sticky and smoky barbecue sauce on a spongy, sweet roll. This dish falls apart the minute you set your teeth in it. Served with coleslaw, just like it should be!
That pulled pork makes my mouth water all over again! Friends, when shall we go again?
