Every now and then you could eat a horse when you wake up. A horse in the form of a pancake stack with fresh blueberries, fresh cut banana and organic Canadian maple syrup that is. When this happens to you, immediately go to BAKERS & ROASTERS!
New Zealand style café
This really relaxed breakfast and brunch spot is a New Zealand style café in De Pijp district of Amsterdam. These kiwis (can I name you guys like this?) have their own way of creating a laidback atmosphere (not at all Aussie like). “With a heavy dose of Brazil”, is how they name it. And you can see this in their love for food (Navajo Eggs).
Back to the food
When your partner in devouring lots of food decides to go on the savoury tour, BAKERS & ROASTERS is the ideal spot for you two! While the first needs to choose between banana nut bread French toast, a fruit bowl, Bircher muesli, homemade granola, the stack of pancakes and other baked goods, the other gets a hard time deciding between all the tasty savory dishes like a power breakfast, Navajo Eggs (is made with pulled pork, really delicious but quite mighty), Huevos Rancheros, Eggs Benny, Eggs Florentine, B&R Special and lots of pies, bagels and salads.
You can rely on me when I say that this breakfast and brunch place is excellent for sharing dishes: First savory, then sweet. Or the other way around, just how you like it!
