Best Of 2014
After a lot of coffees, brunches, lunches, dinner talks, openings and parties 2014 comes to an end. A year of highs (especially because of this blog that went viral and don’t forget about all the 10 BEST that you like so much), a new canine family member, new (food) friends, new firsts and restaurants (I love that!), lots of travels and many great plans for 2015.
The Newbies
Let us reminsce on 2014 first.. I don’t think Amsterdam ever had so many new restaurant openings ever! There were more than 65 restaurants with an average of 4 per month, 6 newbies in May and in June, 11 new restaurants in July and 14 in September and October!I stay up to date with the newbies as good as I can but sometimes I already found out that I didn’t like the interior or that the service wasn’t that great. So those didn’t make the cut! 65 of the newbies did.
Healthy Food
Amsterdam is getting healthier by the minute! Not only are outdoor sports the normal lifestyle, we Urban Dutchies tend to eat healthy as well. And with spots that serve you salads, smoothies, vegan food or your local greengrocer it is easier to maintain this lifestyle. But next to that, we also want to enjoy good food, quality meat and burgers. Lots of burgers.
High Quality Ingredients
Burgers are a real HOT item in Amsterdam and that was showed through this blog. I promise, I’ll do a part 2 Burgers in 2015! So tell me about your favorite burger joint in Amsterdam. These burgers are all made with quality ingredients. No MacD quality here!
