I love it when I discover a new place nearby home! So before our trip to Bali, my boyfriend and I went for brunch @ G&T’s Really Really Nice Place.
This unique place was discovered by a colleague of mine from The Times Hotel who drank delicious cocktails here. This really really nice place was also a hotspot in the first Dutch Vogue! I immediately checked their website and reserved a brunch for two on a Saturday morning.
My boyfriend and myself experienced this Saturday morning like we were abroad, having brunch somewhere in NYC, or even better, in London. The staff speaks English and at the table next to us, expats ate the most delish scones with clotted cream & fresh strawberries and were fighting over the last one ;). Of course we ordered these mini scones immediately..
Next to brunch in the weekends, they also serve cocktails & arrange special evenings like movie nights, quiz nights, exhibitions and parties.. Visit their Facebook page, like them & stay up to date!
The location of George & Tanya’s place is an old Dutch brown cafe. It looks like their own living room & you feel at home straight away. It has a Great Britain style to it. Tanya collects the vintage cups & saucers from all kinds of markets, one of the friendly employees told me. And apparently George is my cousins neighbour: small world!
So if you feel like stepping out of the city of Amsterdam & into a piece of London and you want to have brunch or cocktails: you should go to G&T’s really really nice place! (preferably this weekend ;))
Dear George & Tanya, I will come by soon!
UPDATE: G&T’s really really nice place is now G’s really really nice place.
