Story154’s Favorites – December 2014

We have come to the last month of 2014! This December month is full of cold weather, candle light dinners and a lot of (dinner) parties. Is December one of your favorite months or not really? I really love it, but hate it that my schedule is packed every single night (I like to spontaneous get-togethers). But still one month to go (to check out all of STORY154’s favorites) and we are in 2015!

Here are STORY154’s December favorites:

BAUT AMSTERDAM – because Chef Michiel van der Eerde was supposed to leave this location in the last quarter of 2014. What aBaut we don’t do that, it’s way to good for saying goodbyes. Baut was planned to stay here for 2 years. But now they’re open for 90 more days, so be quick and make your reservation now!

FOYER is also a pop-up and here to stay longer than expected until 1st of February 2015 (review online soon)! It is located in the beautiful monumental builing FELIX MERITIS. And you know how much I love old buildings and food concepts ;)

In that case, you should really go to CAFE RESTAURANT DE PLANTAGE! The spot is perfectly situated nearby the zoo of Amsterdam, Artis. It’s a huge restaurant, but you actually don’t notice it. If it’s still on the menu, try out the ravioli with wild boar ragout, sage butter, Parmesan and black pepper (lunch). Read STORY154’s review about DE PLANTAGE here >

Have you ever checked out STORY154’s 10 best lists?
For boys only, cakes, burgers, Dutch food and so on!

WILD in the De Pijp on the Gerard Doustraat is my latest discovery and I haven’t even wrote about it yet! It’s a new concept store where they hold dinner parties, every piece of art is for sale and hunter and entrepreneur Till is there to tell you about beautiful Italian wines. Definitely worth a visit when you are in De Pijp! Just around the corner from CT COFFEE & COCONUTS, the newest coffee spot of De Pijp.

WILDE ZWIJNEN is the last one on this favorite’s list! Why? Because it has such a relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and genuinly good food, amazing dishes in surprisingly super-duper combinations. Check my review about WILDE ZWIJNEN here >

What are your culinary plans for this last month of 2014? Is it all planned already or do you leave it up to anything and anyone where you’ll end..
XX, Michelle
