August has a busy schedule for you! There are a lot of cool cultural events like De Parade, Sail and the Prinsengrachtconcert where food is an important part of the festival. Look at what August in Amsterdam has in store for you!
Amsterdam Kookt
When: From Thursday 30 July to Sunday 2 August 2015.
Where: NDSM wharf in Amsterdam Noord.
What: A four days music and food paradise in Amsterdam Noord! You can enjoy music by Kris Berry and a variety of food trucks. But to leave you with a watered mouth: Loetje, Brandt & Levie, Dutch Weed Burger, Nghia N Nghia, Let’s Salsa and many more.
Pluk De Nacht
When: From Wednesday 5 August till Saturday 15 August 2015.
Where: Het Stenen Hoofd in Amsterdam.
What: Open air film festival with a variety of movies. Food is arranged by The Worst Food Truck, Buskruid and Bakblik.
De Parade
When: From Friday 7 August till Sunday 23 August 2015.
Where: Martin Luther Kingpark in Amsterdam.
What: De Parade is a cultural event full of theatre, fun, food and a bit artsy. Locals like to hang out at De Parade, while the theatre lover can join many performances (check the schedule online). You can make your own ‘poffertjes’ here (and have a powdered sugar fight), have a coffee at the coffee bar or wine at the wine bar, icecream at De Coupe, dinner at La Cantina, seafood at Zijpestijl or Asian food at HotMamaHot and end with Rainbow Popcorn, lots of wine and a spin in the famous ‘zweefmolen’.
Pure Markt
When: From 11am to 6pm on Sunday 9 August 2015.
Where: Amstelpark in Amsterdam.
What: A source of exceptional, artisan, Dutch and international produce, food and creativity. Approximately 70% of the stalls are food related and the rest is a mix of designer, vintage and gift items.

Where: Location is yet to be decided.
What: A hipster fest with hipster beer and a salad bar. Still figuring out whether this is a hoax or not.
Afterwork by Heineken
When: From 5pm till 9pm on Thursday 13 August 2015.
Where: Tijn Akersloot in Zandvoort.
What: The best beer. The best places in town with the best colleagues. Tijn Akersloot buys everyone their first beer, so enjoy the sun and the sand with a beer in your hand!
Lot 61 Coffee: Cold Fashioned Masterclass x The Hoxton
When: Friday 14 August 2015.
Where: The Hoxton, Herengracht 255 in Amsterdam.
What: A workshop for our two favourite things! Lot 61 are taking two of the things we love most in the world and putting them together into one, oh so delicious combo dubbed the Cold Fashioned: coffee cocktails. Tickets available soon through Hoxtown http://bit.ly/l61cf

What: A food carnival when anyone can open a restaurant for a day!

Where: Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam.
What: Join this Sunday market to extend your relaxed weekend feel with a variety of food, nice drinks and a few vintage finds. This market takes place every third Sunday of the month.
Sail 2015
When: from Wednesday 19 till 23 August 2015.
Where: At the IJ river in Amsterdam.
What: Amsterdam is the decor for international Tall Ships this year. It is the biggest nautical event in Europe since 1975. Check the website for the programme.
Pop-up L’invité le Restaurant at Sail 2015
When: from Wednesday 19 till 23 August 2015.
Where: On the Jan Schaeferbrug in Amsterdam.
What: L’invité le Restaurant pops up in the nautical heart of Sail 2015 on the Jan Schaeferbrug for 5 days to make sure all guests have a culinary experience!
The Coffeevine X HPS present: After Work Coffee Cocktails
When: Thursday 20 August 2015.
Where: At The Coffeevine Bar on Leidseplein 26 in Amsterdam.
What: Their first after work cocktail evening in collaboration with renowned cocktail bar Hiding in Plain Sight. Laura Schacht of HPS makes delicious cocktails with the cold brew coffee of The Coffeevine. Using cold brew or slow drip coffee as a key ingredient in various cocktail creations is already a trend in London and New Yorks’ finest speak easy bars.
The Loft
When: From Saturday 22 August till 6 September 2015.
Where: Prinsengracht 583-V in Amsterdam.
What: This is not a food event, but a loft that’s decorated with the most beautifull stuff! Because we are such a fan, we support The Loft. For more info about this amazing project, check out their website or Instagram account.

Prinsengrachtconcert 2015 at Envy
When: From 5pm on Saturday 22 August 2015.
Where: Restaurant Envy Prinsengracht 381 in Amsterdam.
What: Envy serves you a special Prinsengrachtconcert tasting dinner of 4-courses with charcuterie, mussels and other deliciousness plus you are in time for the Prinsengrachtconcert that starts at 8pm in front of Envy.
Summer Edition of Restaurant Week
