Food fests are still hot and happening here in Amsterdam! Here’s a food festival guide of those worth visiting in the Amsterdam area.
Food Bloggers Takeover De Foodhallen
When: from 25th till 29th May 2016
Where: De Foodhallen in Amsterdam
What: Some of my favorite blogger friends are taking over De Foodhallen! Like Vanessa from Culinessa who will make taco’s and all profits will go to the Amsterdam City Swim (28/05), Uit Pauline’s Keuken has her offline restaurant on 25th of May and Foodness and Lisa goes Vegan are there to rock their shop on Sunday 29th of May.
Sissy-Boy Spring Market
When: 28 May 2016
Where: Vondelpark in Amsterdam
What: Spring has started and summer is coming! During this market you get to know all the cool brands that Sissy-Boy has. Shall we mention a few? Love for Life
When: 4 and 5 June 2016
Where: Jaarbeurs Utrecht
What: A new event about loving life by being good for yourself, your body and mind by exercising and good nourishment. At Love for Life you can explore the Body world by taking a power lesson of krav maga or pole fitness, meditate with meditation guru Davidji or talk to Mr. Voedselzandloper himself Kris Verburgh during his lecture.
Taste of Amsterdam
When: 2 – 5 June 2016
Where: Amstelpark in Amsterdam
What: A culinary food festival with food entrepreneurs like Baut Zuidas, Blauw (my favorite Indonesian restaurant), The Rough Kitchen, The Harbour Club and many more!
Amsterdam Kookt
When: 2 till 5 June 2016
Where: Oosterpark in Amsterdam
What: This free festival in Amsterdam Kookt consists of a variety of pop-up restaurants, food trucks, a wine court and beer garden, a food market and a kids playground.
Het Hoofdgerecht
When: 9 till 12 June 2016
Where: Het Stenen Hoofd, Westerdoksdijk, Amsterdam
What: Previously you always needed a ticket for this food fest. This has held me back for those few years. Plus the location is actually the dog park for all dogs, including mine. Maybe I’ll take a look this year ;)
Bacchus Wine Festival
When: 10 to 12 June and 17 to 19 June (twice!)
Where: Het Amsterdamse Bos
What: A wine and food fest in Het Amsterdamse Bos where you get to party and enjoy quality wine and good music.
Pop-Up Picknick at the Park
When: 30th of June
Where: Amsterdam Vondelpark
What: Two food bloggers Lotte from Culi-Amsterdam and Amsterspots organise the ultimate picknick in the park! Get yourself a picknick basket for €50 for two people, pick a place in the Vondelpark to lay down and enjoy! Let’s all dance for great weather. PS. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, they have a plan B!
TREK AMSTERDAM
When: 14 till 17 July 2016
Where: Amstelpark in Amsterdam
What: A really low key and gezellige food market with cool trucks and new stands. Last year was a big success, busy in a cosy way. I really look forward to visiting this food festival. Plus a reminder for people with dogs: you can’t bring them to this festival. Believe me, we tried once before. During the week it starts at 16.00 pm and in the weekend at noon.
