By Lima is a good food cafe in the Zijlstraat in Haarlem (nearby Sissy Boy’s Daily). They envision a healthy lifestyle by putting lots of love and passion into the sugarless and mostly gluten free food they create. And only work with seasonal and organic products from local producers. It’s not meatless, because Diantha and Bruno believe that meat and fish have essentials that are important for everyone. Therefore By Lima stands for enjoying yourself while being good for yourself. Also with wine, beer, ‘borrel’ platters and pies!
The food so good
So if you go here for coffee, order one of their homemade (vegan) pies (tip: pecan!) or one of the delicious ‘mini’ treats by Holynut. Earlier than coffee time? By Lima has breakfast all day long with raspberry pancakes, a chia compote and maple syrup, mango-yoghurt parfait, overnight coconut quinoa or a breakfast platter with all breakfast essentials on it. For lunch there are five sandwiches to choose from of which four are vegetarian with salmon, hummus and mango, goat cheese, sweet potato spread and one with organic carpaccio. Are you hungry yet?
Besides serving good food, the place looks so cute! Diantha really made it work with the Portuguese tiles (Bruno is Portuguese; hence the name), the classic cups and saucers, the positive quotes all over and her own unique twist to it. The perfect spot to chill and eat some. Plus I think it’s the perfect spot to host a babyshower! All I have to do is find the next preggie ;)
At this moment we are staying at Qurios in Bloemendaal aan Zee, so a trip to Haarlem is a must! Love this city..
