Good Festival Food

So imagine yourself dancing in the sun at a festival with your best friends, drinking wine or something else, your sunglasses on.. Later that evening you would love to grab a bite. While one wants a greasy burger, another would love some biological chicken sate or some non-greasy fries with homemade mayonnaise. We are all different (luckily), also when it comes to food: though our taste buds have a preference & are resolute!

Lotte Wouters created a new initiative for the food at dance festivals in Amsterdam. She started her company The Food Line Up (TFLU) where she is the middle(wo)man between festivals like Open Air, Vrij Festival, Buiten Westen and Milkshake Festival and different food stands. Thank God, she preaches for good food!

The food stands offer the public healthy food that’s made with care and pride. The caterers are passionate cooks and only serve pure and biological veggies, meat and fish that come from local suppliers. Each of the stands look magnificent and they present their dishes in an unique way! Are you hungry yet..

The stands you can expect today at Vrij Festival are the Sate-man who makes sate’s according to traditional Indonesian recipe and techniques, very curious about that! They roast them on charcoal. The next one is Pomms’: self-made fries in a special paper bag with homemade mayonnaise, yum! I love fries, so definitely going to try that one. Ribs, pork and sausages available at the BBQ guys from Grill ‘n Smoke. Then a choice between soups and salads at Buskruit. Delicious pizzas at Beppo Alla Casa and real Mexican taco’s at the Taco Monjo stand. For desserts you can choose between crepes, sweets, freshly baked pies and muffins at the Crepes stand, SweetWheels and at Suiker & Bloem.

Lotte, I need to thank you for this great initiative. A lot people will be enjoying what you made possible, including me! I hope to meet you @Vrij…
XX, Michelle
