CAFE AMSTERDAM is an old engine room on the former watercompany grounds in Amsterdam. This location is amazing to visit because it is car free and the building and interior really nice: the huge room is very industrial because the old diesel engine, which is still in tact and big framework. But all with a French touch to it.
The boyfriend and I went to this golden oldie on a Friday evening. Despite the fact that this hotspot is packed with kids, you don’t really notice it. We ordered the fish platter which was very good and quite large for two. My table partner enjoyed the merquez sausages of Brandt & Levie. I ordered two sole fish served with a small salad and French fries. Lovely, check the rest of the menu here. You should leave some room for dessert: their sticky toffee cake is to die for!
Definitely one to put on your to-visit-list!
