Le Petit Bistro is Michelin star restaurant Bridges’ little sister. It is the smaller bistro version – less chique but with the same high standards of food and service. Perfect for a Saturday lunch for my father’s birthday (happy birthday dad!)! The wonderful Brian made sure that we didn’t lack anything: champagne, oysters, bread with real butter, white wine, more seafood, home made ice cream, strawberries and so on. Are you craving seafood already?
As a starter we enjoyed three different kinds of oysters: the Gillardeau oyster, the Royale Cabanon and my favorite the Umami oysters. The last one is from Zeeland in The Netherlands and is less salty than the other oysters – that are also very good! The umami oysters are intensely savory, sweet, creamy, salty and full of spirit and finesse. And if you taste these, you just want more and more of them! It is also known as the ‘Truffle of the Sea’.
Perfect garden situation for a late Saturday lunch with champagne and oysters!
