It is quiet, the streets are empty and you see the city awakening in front of you. And if by any chance you pass by DE BAKKERSWINKEL at the WESTERGAS, your nose will detect delicious scents of baking. Being an early riser has its perks!

DE BAKKERSWINKEL is an excellent breakfast spot for the early and not-so-early riser! You can start your day with a cup of coffee and tasty dishes like eggs with bacon and/or cheese, a variety of sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, lemon curd (yumm!) and raspberry jam, croissants and yoghurt with muesli. Don’t eat too much though, because DE BAKKERSWINKEL has delicious pies as well: cheesecake, apple pie and carrot cake.
Take away is also possible if
you secretly want to stuff yourself
with multiple cakes at home ;)
Have breakfast, brunch, lunch or high tea at one of the seven locations throughout Amsterdam (city centre, Zuid, West), Utrecht, Zoetermeer, Den Haag and Rotterdam. My favorite location is the one at WESTERGAS because it has a big sunny terrace, it’s a spacious location and the staff is really friendly!
