Eddy Spaghetti has been selected as one of ELLE’s must eats – just like Le Coq and Chef’s Podium. STORY154 went there to check out what it was like. And the pasta is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.. Read STORY154’s review about this pasta restaurant here >
Caffe Toscanini is one of my all time favorites! It’s a bit higher in price but then again you’ll be sitting in a wonderful ambiance in the midst of the Jordaan with killer wines and a marvelous anti-pasti misto, fresh fish or meat.
La Perla has delicious pizza’s! They’re located in the Jordaan as well. It’s always very busy, especially on Fridays (so make a reservation). And all the pizza’s are very good. Try the tiramisu as well! Read STORY154’s review here >
At Bella Storia you should definitely try the burrata and the tiramisu made by nonna. It’s a small little restaurant, no haute cuisine but good Italian food. Read STORY154’s Dutch review about Bella Storia >
Restaurant Bussia is where I celebrated achieving my Masters degree Communications from the University of Amsterdam. They have this nice area on the left for small groups. Next to this, great service, Italian haute cuisine and a bit higher pricing than ToscaniniOSCANINI for example. Read STORY154’s review about it here >
Pasta di Mamma at De Foodhallen make their own pasta according to the recipe di mamma. This pasta restaurant with homemade pastas should be on this list actually! And we’re talking about takeaway dishes, you can also check out Holy Ravioli. This pasta place also has delicious pasta’s (f.e. the ravioli served at Café Restaurant De Plantage).
Spaghetteria has multiple locations throughout Amsterdam: on the Van Woustraat and in Amsterdam West on the Jan Hanzenstraat. This pasta restaurant has a variety of homemade pasta dishes. Check STORY154’s review here >
Eetcafé Koevoet is a really small Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. I haven’t been here in such a long time! And I never wrote a review about it. What I do know: tacky interior, great Italian food especially the burrata and the tagliata and lovely service. Check it out sometime! This one is a well hidden gem ;)
Sotto Pizza couldn’t be missed in this list of great Italian food places. This pizzeria recently opened another location in Amsterdam Zuid. Taking care of all the people who love to eat some great Italian pizza’s!
Lion Noir is not your typical pasta place. But I ate gnocchi there a few weeks back with lobster sauce and truffle. If that doesn’t count as great Italian food, I shouldn’t be a food blogger. Read the review about LION NOIR here >
