The step from online to offline is small and huge at the same time. When this international food television programme The Foodie List asked me to work together, I just couldn’t refuse!
The Show
THE FOODIE LIST is a really cool television programme about 13 cities around the world with in each episode 4 of the coolest food experts who take the international viewers on a journey of culinary discovery.
In every episode in each city the show visits unique places and the food experts tell you about unique dishes. In Amsterdam you can imagine what it was about: Wentelteefjes (French Toast), Stroopwafels, Pancakes, Croquettes, Ossenworst and much more!
The Food Experts
With THE FOODIE LIST you discover the most iconic, colourful and avantgarde dishes through the food experts who will tell you about a certain culture while presenting these meals. In the Amsterdam edition I was in great company and it was lovely to meet fellow food blogger Rebecca of MY TRAVELBOEKTJE, Joël Broekaert is a culinary journalist and Milou Turpijn who is the founder of OURGROUND.
First day at THE LOBBY OF HOTEL V
Rebecca and myself kicked off this four day food experience with wentelteefjes at THE LOBBY of HOTEL V. These Dutch French toast are made of sugar bread and are grilled with a little bit of oil and then sugared with cinnamon sugar and served with a dot of cream and maple syrup. This is not only a breakfast of champions -> you’ve had you sugar intake for the next few months :P

The series will be broadcasted on the Canadian travel network Evasion which has 2 million viewers per week! And it will be distributed by Lagardere Groupe in Europe and Asia and broadcasted on Discovery Channel and National Geographic next year. Whoop whoop!
