Since October 2014 Amsterdam has its own indoor food market: De Foodhallen. At Amsterdam’s 1st indoor market you find a lot of different dishes: From sushi to traditional Dutch bitterballen, from pasta to pizza. All so delicious! It’s the perfect spot to visit with friends and reminds you of indoor food markets in Madrid, Barcelona or Stockholm.
As one of the Taste Bloggers, Lotte of Culi Amsterdam and myself got to visit De Foodhallen and tell you about the 4 food stands that are present at Taste of Amsterdam. It has a mini indoor food market in store for you! Woohooo…
Le Big Fish of chef Robert Kranenborg is the first food stand that’s on my list! For your fish cravings, you must visit this seafood heaven. Le Big Fish serves you a crispy soft shell crab burger on a steamed bun, some wakame and creamy wasabi and a yummy salmon taco with poached and steamed salmon, coriander and jalapeno foam, next to oysters. One word: DE-LIC-IOUS!
The second stand that is at Taste 2015 is Viet View. Viet View is famous for its Vietnamese street food with mindblowing Bánh mì (Vietnamese baguettes) and their homemade and fresh Gỏi cuốn (spring rolls). During Taste they will serve you their freshly made spring rolls with chicken, shrimp, pork and beef. But they also serve you small and big fried spring rolls (named “loempia’s” in Dutch).
