Life as a writer and reviewer is very hard at times. Especially when you get invited to visit lovely pittoresque hotels in Amsterdam. That’s what happened to me when I went to The Times Hotel! Along the Herengracht is the place to be for this boutique hotel at a very quiet spot in the city’s centre and nearby lovely restaurants like Satatouille, Restaurant De Luwte and my all time favorite Da Portare Via! The Times Hotel is situated in two canal houses and has a magnificent view overlooking the Herengracht. It’s so special to notice how quiet it is here while you are in Amsterdam’s city centre!
I think location is key when you are visiting Amsterdam. And if you have the budget to spend a few days on a Dutch canal, why not? It’s lovely! The Times Hotel is nearby The Nine Street which is great for shopping (Rika, COS, Lee, Filippa K, Denham, Marie-Stella-Maris, I love Vintage and Carhart), having lunch and wandering the streets for cool stuff. Afterwards you can lay down all of your new stuff on your fluffy Coco-Mat bed.
This spot is 5 minutes from the Jordaan district, you walk quickly to Dam square and De Bijenkorf but also to the Noord of Amsterdam or to the Red Light District. And otherwise you can rent their hotel bike to get around!
Rooms With A View
The different types of rooms are suitable for any kind of occasion: a romantic getaway with your lover in one of the Deluxe Canal Rooms overlooking the beautiful Herengracht, the first trip as a small family or a weekend of partying with your friends in the so-called Loft where you have your own small studio in the Amsterdam’s city centre. Either way, this small boutique hotel in Amsterdam is really worth your visit!
